Description
A Unique is a special type of monster in Wurm. Each server can only have a maximum of one of each type of unique at any time, and each unique spawns randomly. There are 14 different types of uniques in Wurm, all of which may occasionally respawn.
The Four Humanoids:
The Five Dragons:
The Five Dragon Hatchlings:
Notes
- The uniques are the strongest creatures in the game. However, they differ in strength. It is not known for certain the exact order from strongest to weakest, but it is quite well agreed upon that the 3 strongest uniques are probably the Red Dragon, the Kyklops, and then the Troll King following very closely in third place.
- The spawning of uniques affects the natural animal habitat spawn rates. Per Retrograde: "Spawning uniques does reset the natural spawn counter."
Rewards from Uniques
Assisting in the slaying of a unique creature or even being in the area of the slaying yield rewards.
When slaying a dragon, everyone in the local area receives a bit of blood and a scrap of dragon scale or drake of that dragon's type in their inventory. A sorcery tome may drop when killing the dragon. These are 1 charge and completely rely on RNG (random chance) to drop.
When slaying a humanoid unique, everyone in the local area receives a bit of blood of that unique's type. A sorcery tome may drop when killing the unique. These are 3 charge items and completely rely on RNG (random chance) to drop.
Bloods are combined with source salt to make potions. Dragon scale and drake are used to make armour.
Butchering
Butchering a humanoid unique or dragon may yield a skull, meat, teeth, eyes, glands, and/or a rare or better strange bone. High butchering skill and a high QL butchering knife will give a better chance of butchering these items but RNG (random chance) plays a large part in this as well.
